The Second Plague!

I have had many reports from different persons regarding Covid-19 about how slow the government were, which might have saved a lot more lives!  I know that probably the government was as much in the dark about this virus as the rest of the United Kingdom and I don’t think they have a crystal ball in their basement to view to let us know how bad it was going to be.  They only knew when the Scientists had informed them the way to go safely.  It is easy to criticise the government, but you have to ask yourself what would you have done bearing in mind you have to serve the whole country and you are bound to step on someone’s toes?

The Labour Party Leader I thought was a sensible person, but I am not sure now.  He seemed different from the other leader of that party.  His outer garment blinded me into thinking he was going to be reasonable.  Beware of men in sheep’s clothing and with such a negative approach too!   It is too serious a problem to be on different sides.  The government could do with the Labour Party backing them and not stabbing them in the back all the time.

It is the young people of the United Kingdom who we have to thank for this pandemic lasting because they think that it doesn’t affect them and count lives as a cheap commodity, probably not realising that their actions today are going to be tomorrow’s problems with a capital P and P equals a second wave of this deadly virus. I don’t want to be brutal, but who is going to look after the children if their parents die?

Young persons gathering in parks mingling with different families is going to be the blue touch paper to wipe out a generation of people, and some of the fatalities will be the experts who have the knowledge on how to cope and give advice on this disease and until the scientists can come up with a vaccine this plague will stay in our lives

We are all in the same boat and the sooner all persons realise this, the sooner it will pass us by, but we all have to make the sacrifice of keeping our distance from each other and obeying the local and national lockdown procedures!

The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding the content – please do so!  Swear words are not accepted.
