I picked up this book as a “blind date with a book”, it’s covered in brown paper and has three catchy lines to get your attention. Other that that you have no idea what the book is about. I can’t believe how fortunate picking this was. Not only is this book funny, beautifully written, but it is also the most sympathetic documentation of empathy and friendship. The subject matter is a difficult one, and tackled with immense sensitivity. I have my own reasons for finding this difficult to read, but it helped me. I even found myself reaching out to the author (I messaged him through Facebook). So glad I randomly picked this book up. It’s thought changing and life changing. Highly recommended.
