Too Good to be True!

It’s never a good idea to answer an email you do not recognise. I have a website and persons can view it and offer suggestions of how I can increase the sales of my books but this won’t have a dog’s chance of cold sales via the internet. It usually turns out to be a scam by them to place my money in their pockets. If somebody suggests something too good to be true, then you can bet your bottom dollar it’s a scam. I always stick with the people I know and have had dealings with those people before. The trouble is that companies such as McAfee, Norton and AVG can’t recognise the bogus email.

There are people who just sit on their bottoms all day trying to think of ways of taking other people’s money and millions of pounds have passed from one honest person’s hand to another person of ill-repute who thinks how clever they are. Hopefully there is a programme that is being developed to find these would-be-fraudsters and send them to prison for a least 20 years with no remission – let the punishment fit the crime.

I received such an email last week regarding someone offering me a carrot, me being the Donkey, offering me a service having visited my website or maybe not as these people just need to see listings on the internet and probably think – ‘ah a new customer or donkey to be led by the nose.’ Anyway, having made some enquiries into the person who sent me the email, she intimated that through her company she would be able to get more people to visit my website. However I was not convinced that this person actually worked for the company she had stated in her email. The adage says that ‘You can lead a horse to water – but you can’t make it drink.’ It won’t be a certainty that people would visit a website especially if they are not interested in reading books. I will leave it to chance and keep my money securely in my pocket.

News from Eastbourne – Keep the Home Fires Burning!

Having read that 81 grenades have been located at the Kings Drive Site where Bovis Homes hope to build 120 homes. Not only has the site been difficult because of the marshy land and the builders have had to dig deeper than the norm, finding explosive devices are the last thing you want to come across. I think it would make me feel a bit chary purchasing a new home on that site with the knowledge that the then ‘Home Guard’ had placed hundreds of explosive devices on that site in 1943 in case England was invaded. It just goes to prove that people should investigate fully about where they want to build new homes and not think of the cash they are going to get! Digging your garden over on a quiet Sunday afternoon could have a new meaning!

Eastbourne Hospital

One can guess why the Conservative Party do not want to go ahead with the inquiry on the Eastbourne Hospital inadequacies to deal with patients. It is members of the Conservative Party who have placed patients in hazardous health problems – it was they who voted to split up the Eastbourne hospital and the Conquest Hospital in Hastings all to save money, although this has been vigorously denied by them. The problems speak for themselves – babies born in the back of a car because of heavy traffic going both ways on a much damaged road by winter conditions causing deep potholes. Also ESCC has lead us to believe that they lack the money even though the Government supposedly in one report had set millions of pounds aside to do the repair work that was needed. Who was telling LIES?

It is probably a good enough reason not to vote Conservative because as the cigarette packet adage states “They can seriously damage your health!”

Why does DC and his Comic Party want to rule the Government again for another five years? He certainly hadn’t taken advantage of getting the more serious projects sorted before his term ended – he just made sure his cronies, the millionaires and billionaires were not hounded by the Tax Man, but made sure the poorer community paid Bedroom Tax and all the other subtle taxes he has wheedled from the people who have not got the same amount of money to fall back on. His passing shot was to raise ‘GREEN CAR ROAD TAX’ by a 100%.
