By Richard Shonn, Managing Director at Elbow Grease®
With air fryers becoming increasingly popular, it’s another household appliance to keep clean – not always music to the ears of those doing the cleaning!
Fortunately Richard Shonn from Elbow Grease® is here with some top tips and product recommendations to make this one less task you need to worry about.
- Cool down
Before you start to clean your air fryer make sure it is unplugged and completely cooled down. This doesn’t take long and then you can pull out the basket and remove the tray or rack.
- Consistency is key
Baked on grease is no fun to clean! For an easy life, clean the basket every time you use it so the grease and dirt don’t build up and become mission impossible to get rid of! Use warm soapy water with a soft cloth.
- Line it
To avoid the food making contact with the bottom of the basket, try some air fryer liners or find matching accessories. This way the grease isn’t going to build up at the bottom of the basket.
- Softly, softly
Only use soft-bristled brushes, soft clothes or paper towels on your air fryer and avoid anything harsh or metallic, which could scratch it.
- Apply some elbow grease…
Last but not least, why not try our NEW Elbow Grease Air Fryer Cleaner.
