It is funny that because Eastbourne is a Lib-Dem stronghold that it was necessary for the PM and Chancellor to visit the scene of a disastrous fire on Eastbourne Pier and straight away donate £2,000,000 of Tax Payers money accrued over the year much to the annoyance of the residents of Hastings who had not received anything from the Government when their pier was destroyed by fire. Hastings residents should not worry about this flash of generosity by DC to Eastbourne as it is only a political ploy.
It seems rather obscene to me that DC has accrued from different benefactors (all of them Billionaires) £5,000,000 to fight an election that is due to take place in May 2015. Of course if one wanted to become a Knight, you only need to go down on one knee to beg, holding a silver tray with money on it and you get the silver sword blade tap on the shoulders. I wonder what I could get for a £1? (Guillotined at the Tower of London probably.)
With £5,000,000 you could solve some of the troubles that are brewing in the world today – obvious that those with plenty of money will only speculate if they know that there is something for them at the end of a project, so it seems. Nobody has told these filthy rich people: “You can’t take it with you when you pop your clogs, why not do something useful while you’re living?”
Eastbourne DGH
I don’t usually name names in my column, but I have to make an exception for one BRAVE PERSON who having posed for a photograph laughing and really pleased with himself for making a decision that may cost the life of a Mother and/or Baby: MIKE ENSOR. It makes you wonder about the MENTAL CAPACITY that some of these people are obviously lacking in. Just one vote to determine the future of a maternity ward at a hospital built for the sole purpose of treating residents who live in Eastbourne. What is the point of it all? All projects to raise money for EASTBOURNE DGH should be terminated permanently. There is no point in throwing away money on a hospital that is not willing to support the local community in all departments.
As I understand the administration at the hospital is still baffling most patients even with the new man in charge. Persons in A & E still have to wait the customary FOUR HOURS in A & E before they are treated. Not looking good. How many stars would you give EASTBOURNE DGH – about one and a half, at least they are neck and neck with EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL as a two horse race goes.
As a patient at EASTBOURNE DGH should you be charged for parking your vehicle? Being no fault of your own, and you are by default penalised having to wait FOUR HOURS in A & E for treatment to start with plus other departments you may have to visit for argument sake – an XRAY. You could be looking at a TWENTY FOUR POUND PARKING FEE. If the hospital administration tightened up on its handling of patients, perhaps the hospital would be able to salvage some of the damage done by THIRTEEN PEOPLE AT THE HOSC MEETING IN JULY OF THIS YEAR. (I understand from another source that SIX PEOPLE ON THE HOSC PANEL ARE CONSERVATORIES). Need I say more TORIES are good at closing down buildings.
Daylight Robbery at LIDL STORE EASTBOURNE Car Park
LIDL appears to have shot itself in both feet by penalising its customers if they should stay more than the permitted SIXTY MINUTES. Sometimes for many reasons, and if you have a large family to feed, you might be longer than the prescribed time to get your shopping done. It is okay if no-one else is actually in the shop, you can get round in a flash but usually they only have two people on their tills and the shop has three hundred people milling around all trying to beat the clock and not succeeding, only to find that they have been given a parking fine of NINETY POUNDS on top of their budget.
I wonder what bright spark thought of that? I suppose you’ve got to get your CHRISTMAS BONUS from somewhere. My advice is don’t shop there any more – find another friendly shopping environment where the customer comes first instead of being fleeced.
Other Ploys
It’s just amazing what one reads in the papers these days. Systems that have worked for years and years without any hitches are now being changed. For example: Those with serious health benefits are having their benefits removed for three years because they missed an appointment at a Jobcentre. How ludicrous. Not only that some GP PRACTICES might be axed because the NHS are funding GP’s on a different system which may discriminate against poorer patients.
With all the restrictions that have come into view since the present Government have been in power, the future doesn’t look good. You have to ask yourselves – when will it all end?
