Seaford Town Council is excited to announce a weekend packed with activities at Martello Fields. Starting on Thursday and Friday 23rd and 24th June with the opening of the Funfair, then Seahaven Veterans and Armed Forces Day opens on Saturday 25th June, followed by Motorfest on Sunday 26th June!
On Thursday the Funfair brings a host of rides and attractions so why not visit on one of the evenings for fun and entertainment, with the Dodgems, Twister, Miami, Dragon Coaster, the Cage and Waltzer! With crazy prices on Thursday, there’s something for all ages and they will be support the two weekend events too!!
Visit on Saturday 11am until 4pm for Seahaven Veterans and Armed Forces Day with the return of the Mini Tanks as well as a host of military vehicles and emergency services, there will be a ‘Pill Box’ to inspect, Army Jeep Kitcar and the Sea Cadets Canon will be making an appearance on display in all its glory. There will be performances and displays in the arena through-out the day Seaford Rock and Jazz Orchestra opens at 11am and the programme includes the Army Kit-car Assembly, Tug of War, Cadets Drills and Band displays, Dance Group, Seaford Lifeguards and Urban Outdoor Fitness. And don’t forget the Parade from 12noon (arrive early)
There are loads of Community stalls to take in raising funds for their own charities and you can stop at the ‘Tavern in the Tent’ to quench your thirst and relax next to the arena and enjoy the non-stop entertainment. This year’s event charities are Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families, and The Royal British Legion but there’s also a wealth of other charities attending with their community stalls. On Sunday get along to the Seaford Motorfest for another day filled with entertainment, there’s the Show and Shine and the whole day is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a host of motorbikes, classic and performance cars as well as some prestige marques, there are live bands and much, much more with the event running until 8pm!
