Although we have seen buckets of rain fall over West Sussex this last week our spirits have not been dampened when it comes to raising money for Butterflies Breast Cancer Unit, in Worthing.
Just to fill you in on some of the details on what’s happening, there is a new Breast Unit being built at the North entrance of Worthing Hospital, which is due to be completed by January 2014. This will require Butterflies help with the purchase of items to make the unit more comfortable for those women requiring treatment. There fund-raising is focused on raising money for an ultrasound scanner.
So with this in mind White Petals & Pearls has been out and about, busy giving people Christmas gift ideas at The Atrium & Jetset House (Tui Specialist Division, Crawley) with their luxury handmade soaps & candles.
We’ve also had some fun selling raffle tickets with a difference, a list of hundred flowers was put together, as butterflies like flowers and two prizes of a Chillax pamper gift set were won at the two events held. Matthew Prior managing director at the Atrium chose the 1st winning ticket and Andrea Christian on the reception desk at Jetset House chose the second winning ticket. An incredible 98 tickets at 50pence a go were sold and we raised £49. A huge thank you to everyone involved.
If you have any events or coffee mornings coming up in the run up to Christmas please keep Butterflies in mind so they can reach their goal for January 2014 and purchase that ultrasound scanner.
If we all just did a little bit to help raise money for these projects we can all benefit should we ever find ourselves in need of help.
