Wild Worthing Competition

If you garden with wildlife in mind Sussex Wildlife Trust’s Wild About Worthing project is organising a competition just for you.

It doesn’t matter if you have a wildlife garden on your balcony or in a container on a patio or have a bigger space filled with fruit trees and a pond – there is a category to suit you.

Enter online via the Sussex Wildlife Trust website by completing a simple form and writing 200 words about your own special wildlife patch. Pictures are encouraged as well. All entries must be received by 20 July 2015.

Wild About Worthing is supported by a generous grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.  Leading the project is Tom Simpson.  He said, ‘There are four categories: school grounds, residential gardens, balcony or courtyard and allotments.  Winners in each category will receive a garden centre voucher for £20.  There will also be an overall winner who can choose between a year’s free membership to the Sussex Wildlife Trust or a Trust run course or event to the same value.’

So if your garden attracts the birds and bees, slowworms, frogs or toads or dragonflies or maybe you have an abundance of wild flowers and insects attracted to planters on your patio or in your window box, visit our website now to take part.
